Friday’s Repeat Shark Tank Episode Garners Celebrity Tweets, Ratings Win

About a year ago we began “live tweeting” Shark Tank episodes on Fridays, and I was blown away by the positive response from fellow fans and viewers of the show. Mind you, we started out live tweeting repeat episodes from Season 2, and still the response was incredible. Each week hundreds or thousands of people were being introduced to the Sharks and many if not all immediately connected with the show. Entrepreneurship is alive and well in America, online and off.

The energy from fans on social media as well as the Sharks themselves was palpable throughout Season 3. This undoubtedly contributed to Shark Tank’s rise to becoming Friday’s ratings darling for ABC and a certified hit entering its fourth season this Fall. Exhibit A: our twitter account (@SharkTankABC) only had a couple thousand followers at that time, and today it stands at over 20,500. All that to say, if you’re on Facebook or Twitter and not engaged in the conversation on Fridays, please join us!

Yesterday’s *third* airing of an episode from Season 3 that featured Jared Joyce, The Painted Pretzel, Esso Watches and ReadeRest sums up the above well. Not only did the episode handily win its 8pm time slot, several celebrities tweeted their love of the show for the first time, including…

Julie Benz (Dexter)

Lou Williams (Philadelphia 76ers guard and perennial NBA Sixth Man of the Year contender)

Emmy Award Winner Jackée Harry even got into the action, tweeting her appreciation for The Painted Pretzel

Needless to say, we had a great time tweeting with all the fans of the show last night, old and new. Hope to see you on Facebook or Twitter soon — our links are below:

We’ll be back this Friday night for an episode that features Kisstixx, The Smart Baker, Heat Helper, and Technology Enabled Clothing (TEC). Here’s hoping we get a chance to interact, it’s going to be a fun episode!
