Original Offer to the Sharks: $100,000 for 15% stake
PostureNOW is a posture improvement/correction device developed by two businessmen from Portland and New York, respectively. Seeking to solve the “universal problem” of poor posture, PostureNOW is an answer to anyone who works at a computer or sitting down all day. Based on their audition video (below), Matt and Mike have a good sense of humor and we hope their pitch to the Sharks is as good-natured and funny as their pitch to the show’s casting department.
The device itself can be worn on the inside or outside of clothing, and clearly provides a benefit to the wearer, without the “dreaded apparatus” of an outdated or unsightly device. According to the PostureNOW website, PostureNOW is comprised of “two comfortable neoprane armbands, connected by a flexible elastic tension band. It improves your posture using the principal of muscle memory: When your shoulders hunch forward, the PostureNOW posture brace reminds you to pull your shoulders back, essentially creating the habit of good posture. ”
PostureNOW looks well positioned for their Shark Tank pitch…so will the Sharks align themselves with these entrepreneurs? Stay tuned!
