Original Offer to the Sharks: $150,000 for 15% stake

Bringing “a chicken wing on a chip,” the couple behind Back 9 Dips jumps into the Shark Tank and throws the Sharks for the loop during their pitch, a preview of which is below. It’s not clear to me if Kevin O’Leary and the other investors laugh these entrepreneurs out of the tank, or if the Sharks are genuinely interested. Simply from Lori’s comment, the dip is tasty, although from memory I don’t believe Lori has invested in any food products to date, unlike Daymond, Mark, and a few of the other Sharks.

Although Back 9 has a homemade look and feel, from their website it is now for sale in Walgreens, Publix and Winn-Dixie, which is no small feat for any food-based business. Perhaps that is a good sign for these entrepreneurs from Tampa, Florida.

So, will the Sharks dip into Back 9? Stay tuned!
